Co-Founder & Principal
Said Armutcuoglu is Co-Founder and Principal of Valor Advisory Partners and Managing Partner of Maxime Partners, LLC, a Park City, Utah based investment banking boutique. He has over 33 years of Wall Street experience, including 17years at Lazard, which he joined as an analyst in Chicago in 1992 and where he was named Partner in 2005, followed by senior roles at Loeb Partners Corporation, where he was a Managing Director and Board Member, and LSH Partners,where he served as Senior Advisor and Managing Director.
Over his career he has executed more than 50 transactions with a total disclosed value of over $100 billion, spanning mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and private and public capital raising, from small-cap to mega-cap companiesand across borders. He has advised Boards of Directors, management teams, controlling shareholders, and creditors. Clients he has advised include Adelphia Communications, Time Warner, SunGard, Bell Canada, Teleglobe, Danone,Publicis Groupe, Heinz, Baxter International, Caremark, Hach, and Charming Shoppes.
He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Swiss Matura from Institut Montana, and holds FINRA Series 24 licensure as a General Securities Principal. He is fluent in English, Turkish, German, and French.
Co-Founder & Head of Business Development
Randy Elliott is Co-Founder and Head of Business Development of Valor Advisory Partners. He served two terms as an elected Commissioner of Davis County, Utah, including as Chair, with responsibility for [1,100+ employees and a budgetapproaching $250 million]. Davis County is home to Hill Air Force Base and its ecosystem of aerospace and defense suppliers. He helped establish the Northern Utah Economic Partnership and has worked across the private sector and withdefense and aerospace organizations on regional economic development. Senior Advisor
Colonel John Olshefski (U.S. Army, Ret.) served 27 years in uniform across operational, logistics, and command assignments, concluding as Garrison Commander of Redstone Arsenal with oversightof more than 2,000 employees. Following his military career he served as Senior Vice President of Huntsville Utilities, and later as a Sales Manager in the natural gas sector. He holds master'sdegrees from Central Michigan University and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, and a B.A. in Mathematics from The Citadel.
